When dirty process water is pumped into the clarifier, clean water overflows
the top and goes back to the wash plant for reuse.

The underflow, or thickened mud, is then pumped to a remote site.

Standard Water Clarifier Features and Specifications

Nominal capacity of 600 to 3,200 gallons per minute.

Standard Operation Method
Using stacks of closely spaced sloping plates at a 45 degree angle, the GreyStone water clarifier is designed to handle an influent containing a maximum of 8% solids by weight with the addition of flocculants. The clarifier cleans the water aggregate processing plant. The sludge collecting at the bottom of the plates in the sludge hopper can be thickened to approximately 40% solids by weight, which can be pumped to pits or permanent disposal sites. If sufficient fail is available, the sludge can be gravity flumed away. A sensing device connected to discharge valves is provided for setting the density of the sludge desired up to 40% by weight.

A sensing device is provided for setting the density of the sludge desired (up to 40% by weight), which triggers a discharge valve operated by a 1 HP hydraulic power pack. A collecting hopper for sludge with a 2 ½” pump and a 10 HP motor and drive.

The sloping plate spaced at 2” and a 45° angle are made of 0.090” thick polypropylene sheet with 35% glass fiber reinforcing.

WATER CLARIFIER - MODEL 600

A sensing device is provided for setting the density of the sludge desired (up to 40% by eight), and is connected to two 3” air operated discharge valves. Optional hydraulic operated discharge valve control with hydraulic power pack is also available.

The sloping plate spaced at 2” and a 45° angle are made of 0.090” thick polypropylene sheet with 35% glass fiber reinforcing.

The 600 GPM unit contains 126 plates giving 700 square feet of settling area.

A sensing device is provided for setting the density of the sludge desired (up to 40% by eight), and is connected to two 5” air operated discharge valves. Optional hydraulic operated discharge valve control with hydraulic power pack is also available.

The sloping plate spaced at 2” and a 45° angle are made of 0.145” thick polypropylene sheet with 35% glass fiber reinforcing.

The 1200 GPM unit contains 252 plates giving 1400 square feet of settling area.
