Rhino Hyde Products The original and still the leader: Rhino Hyde®...

Tandem Products, Inc. has been producing cost effective polyurethane wear products since 1965 providing solutions to your abrasion and impact concerns through continuous improvement and innovation of their product line.  Gulf-Atlantic Industrial Equipment is an authorized dealer for the Tandem Products RhinoHyde® products.

Rhino Hyde® products are manufactured of tough, resilient elastomeric urethanes specifically designed for use in applications requiring abrasion resistance.

Rhino Hyde® Benefits include: lightweight, easy installation, excellent impact resistance, good low temperature properties, noise reduction, corrosion resistance and chemical resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, mild acids and bases.

Rhino Hyde® is recommended for use in materials handling of any abrasive material including sand, crushed aggregate, coal, taconite pellets, copper ore, phosphate rock, salt & wood chips.

Classifier Shoes

Rhino Hyde® urethane classifier shoes are the solution to the abrasion problems inherent in screw conveyor applications. The advantages to Rhino Hyde® classifier shoes are:

  • Urethane won't rust or corrode like steel shoes
  • Lightweight making them easier to install and provide less wear on equipment
  • When bent or distorted Rhino Hyde® classifier shoes will return to their original shape
  • Come with standard weld plates or a solid metal backing
  • Shoes with the solid metal backing are bent left and / or right
  • Come in a variety of styles and replacement sizes

Rhino Hyde® urethane classifier shoes are manufactured from a proprietary urethane formulation.  They have many molds and due to the fact many screws are field modified, an approved drawing is required with each order.  For the same reason, manufacturer numbers alone can not be relied upon.

With Rhino Hyde® classifier shoes, you are assured better cut and tear resistance compared to rubber. Rubber shoes require a metal backing to give them the necessary rigidity, which could result in delamination. Rhino Hyde® won't delaminate, won't "chunk" or rip away and can handle environmental extremes.

Everwear Elevator Buckets

When you need a bucket that does not require frequent replacement, look no further.  Rhino Hyde Everwear®

buckets are designed to handle heavy constant loads.  Advantages of Everwear® buckets;

  • Polyurethane formulation for long wear
  • Temperature and impact resistant
  • Anti-static
  • FDA approved
  • Non sticking
  • Clean discharge
  • Easy to install
  • The original urethane bucket!!

With over 5 years in product development and over 350,000,000 million bushels of corn and soybean hauled in actual field tests, Tandem Products introduced the Everwear® bucket almost 30 years ago. Unsurpassed in performance, this unique urethane cast bucket has proven to not only protect the belt but to withstand tramp metal impacts and high stress loading without failure.

Through elaborate and exhaustive testing and research conducted at third party facilities and in the field, Tandem Products has developed a bucket that will exceed your expectations for performance. This research and testing revealed a specific wall thickness and radius were critical to performance and resulted in a bucket that will give and not break, therefore handling extreme volumes of material without needing replacement. The Everwear® bucket will actually deform under high loads then recover its shape to continue to bucket material; it will actually pull off the belt before it hangs it up then can be reinstalled with a slightly larger washer.

Tandem Products utilizes specialty urethane formulations unavailable on the open market to produce a bucket that will resist abrasion, reduce replacement costs, recover from distortion and resume elevating product better than any other bucket material on the market. The Everwear® bucket will perform in environments from – 40F to 150F, is lighter than steel and will dissipate electrostatic charges and deaden the noise associated with bucketing grains and aggregates.

Everwear® buckets for the life of your belt.

Rhino Hyde Urethane Rolls

Rhino Hyde® rolls are produced out of high quality urethane materials and are available plain (non-backed) or with a fabric backing.

  • Available with no backing or a fabric backing
  • Materials available
  • High energy
  • Shore A 85
  • Shore A 70

Rhino Hyde® rolls are available up to 60" wide and 50' long in various thickness'.  In Stock:  1/4" thk X 4' X 25, 50 and 100 foot rolls with fabric backing for immediate shipment.  Other rolls are stocked based on seasonal needs, contact your sales representative to discuss your roll requirements.

Plain (non-backed) rolls over 50' must have an 18" fabric splice at the 50' location.  The length of rolls is also determined by the weight and material thickness, for instance; it is not possible to roll a 1" X 4' X 50' roll due to the thickness and also the weight.

Rolls with fabric backing can be attached to the substrate with silicone or contact adhesives.  The fabric backing also adds strength to allow hanging rolls into round chutes.

Rolls are available in the following thicknesses: 3/16", 1/4" 3/8" and 1/2".  All requirements for lengths of material that are over 1/2" thick should be produced in 10' long sheets.  Custom rolls are available in any width up to 60".  We produce many rolls to specific widths to meet customer needs, thus eliminating field trimming and saving waste.
