Tractor Chain Apron Feeders

Universal Engineering Apron Feeders consist of a continuous steel belt that is made up of overlapping flights or pans that are connected to and supported by steel chains or bars. The underside of these flights is reinforced and designed to withstand impact and pressure. Apron feeders provide a positive material flow and with variable speed drives can provide close control of the feed rate to the crusher. Apron feeders are well suited for applications that require moving a high tonnage of coarse material where the impact loads are too severe for other types of feeders.

Reciprocating Plate Feeders

The Universal Engineering Reciprocating Plate Feeder is noted for its smooth reciprocating action providing a uniform feed rate. The feed rate is varied by changing the eccentric throw on select models. Anti-friction bearings, steel rollers, and suspension construction reduce maintenance and downtime.

The Reciprocating Plate Feeder is ideal for sand, gravel, and recycle applications or in portable plants where the rugged durability of the feeder aides in the crusher discharge. The Universal Engineering Reciprocating Plate Feeder is built in a range of sizes and types for shovel or dragline loading, ramp loading, or bulldozing to trap. It is available in varying widths and lengths to fit your specific application.

Universal Engineering Vibrating Grizzly Feeders

The Universal Vibrating Grizzly Feeder provides a continuous feed rate under a variety of loading and material conditions. Rugged construction takes the heavy shock-loads of trucks, shovels and loaders. The main frame is comprised of deep fabricated side frames and heavy-duty cross-members, all welded and stress-relieved into a unit which give you years of maintenance free service.

Overall plant capacity is increased when finish-sized materials bypass the crusher. This boosts efficiency and reduces maintenance because only oversized materials are put through the crusher. Maximum scalping is obtained with a full six feet of grizzly area, plus the bars are adjustable, so product control can be maintained. Adjustable grizzly bars are quickly re-spaced with only an ordinary wrench.

The tapered openings have a self-cleaning effect when rocks hanging between bars are nudged along to increasingly wider openings. Diamond spaced bars prevent fines from riding along top of grizzly into the crusher. The net effects of this feeder design are lower costs per ton and greater profits.

Universal Engineering Vibrating Pan Feeders

The extra heavy-duty Universal Engineering Vibrating Pan Feeder mounted on coil springs provides for high production, with an even disbursement of the product. The pan bottom and sides are lined with impact, abrasion resistant alloy steel liners. The pan bottom is also lined with thick oak under the alloy steel liners. Two extra heavy, perfectly machined and matched, counterweighted alloy steel shafts provide ample cyclic power to vibrate the feeder under the heaviest of loads.

The Universal Engineering Vibrating Pan Feeders are available in widths from 50" to 82" and lengths up to 25' to fit any application. Pan feeders can be furnished with a motor mount in the compartment with the vibrator for increased clearance under the feeder. These heavy-duty feeders have been field-proven in a variety of applications in the aggregate and industrial markets.

Wobbler Feeders

The Universal Engineering Wobbler Feeder consists of a series of elliptical steel bars that are positioned transversely to the direction of material feed. These bars alternate vertical and horizontal positions. As these elliptical bars rotate (in the same direction) the under sized material passes through while the motion of the bars carries oversized material forward. These units are very effective in handling sticky materials that would tend to clog other types of feeders.

Universal Engineering has four models of Wobbler Feeders, each with different standard widths and number of bar combinations. Each Wobbler Feeder is custom designed to meet a wide range of tonnage and application requirements. Designed to scalp material from 1/2" to 6" lump size and tonnages go up to 2,500 TPH.
