Green businesses adopt operating practices, policies and principles that solve environmental problems, thereby improving the quality of life for their customers, their employees, their communities, and the environment. Thanks to Liebherr Mixing Technology, you can enable your company to adopt best practice green approach toward concrete recycling. Each day in the production of concrete results in large amounts of residual concrete.  Rather than wasteful disposal, Liebherr Concrete Recycling Systems enable your company to recycle and reuse these materials. The Liebherr mixing technology recycling plants are designed either as trough or screw systems and are put into operation everywhere where quantities of residual concrete, mortar or screed must be reclaimed in an environmentally-friendly way.

In a closed material circuit, the constituents of the produced material are washed out and the process water re-supplied for production.

Advantages of Recycling Residual Concrete

  • Avoid unnecessary burden on the environment.
  • Elimination of Cleanup Costs to Remove and/or Reprocess Hardened Concrete
  • Save money by recycling and reusing both materials and process water.
  • Residual water from recycling can be reused in the production process.
  • Sand and Gravel Can be washed out, cleaned, and reused as production aggregates.
  • Remaining water containing cement is collected and reused in concrete mixers without reduction in finished product quality.
Type LRS

The 3 Models of LRS Screw type recycling systems can be distinguished by their compact design that requires very little space when set up.

  • The screw is located at a predetermined spacing in the housing so a bed of material is built up and unnecessary wear is avoided.
  • The screw shaft runs in maintenance-free bearings.
  • The loading hopper is specially shaped so that it can be filled from various angles from one or two truck mixers.
  • The design of the inlet hopper prevents accidental overfilling of the screw..
  • The discharge height permits a generous storage volume.
  • The solid materials of the residual concrete are thoroughly washed away via a screw.
  • Optional insulated version can be supplied for winter operation.

Type LRT (trough system)

The 3 Models of the LRS trough system can also pick up larger amounts of residual concrete for a short time due to its immense volume.

  • The LRS Trough Pattern Unit holds a particularly high volume of wash water so that larger quantities of material can be added at shorter intervals.
  • The location of the screw at predetermined spacing in the housing allows material to build up to prevent wear.
  • Two truck mixers can discharge to the broad loading hopper at the same time.
  • The discharge height permits a generous storage volume.
  • Model LRT 318 is particularly suitable for washing out mortar.
  • Different discharge possibilities are available, e.g. for wheel loader or for pumps.
  • Optional insulated version for winter operation or a galvanized body can be supplied upon request.

Dosing Buffer

If returned concrete of multiple truck mixers have to be discharged, the galvanized dosing buffer is the right solution. Generously designed so that up to six truck mixers can discharge simultaneously.

Higher returned concrete volumes are collected and feed continously to the recycling system.
