Flow Detection System

Flow / No Flow Detection for Solids and Powders

The flow detect system consists of two components – the FDS1000 Remote Sensor Probe which is mounted in a pneumatic pipeline, gravity chute or feeder – and the FDC1000 Control Console which is mounted in an area accessible for users to read the console during operations. The system promotes continuous and efficient operations by informing users that solid or powder materials are flowing and alerts them if the flow status has changed, power has been lost, or if communication between the Remote Sensor Probe and the Control Console has been interrupted.

The FDS 1000 Remote Sensor Probe is a high quality, industrial grade instrument that senses flow / no-flow conditions using Doppler technology (microwave) to provide highly reliable and sensitive motion detection. It works by transmitting a low energy signal through a Teflon process seal into the material flow stream. A portion of the signal is reflected back to the sensor, with the movement of material causing a frequency shift – called the Doppler shift – which is used by the sensor to detect material flow.

Liners

Types:  Ceramic, Polyurethane, Steel, UHMW

Rhino Hyde® Urethane sheets are recommended for use in the handling of almost any abrasive material. Material thickness and backing style are recommended based on application parameters. Rhino Hyde® sheets are available with the following backings: Plain, no backing, Expanded metal backed, Solid Metal back and Fabric backed.

Rhino Hyde® Uramic panels are utilized in applications with severe abrasion problems. The panel construction utilizes high alumina ceramic tiles backed with a cushioning urethane layer. 

Uramic panels are:

  • Produced in modular systems allowing replacement of high wear areas
  • Panel construction utilizes ceramic hex tiles from 1/4" to 1"  thick, total panel thickness to 1 1/2"
  • Available with stud bolt and weldable installation methods
  • Cushioning urethane layer prevents tile breakage
  • Uses: Extremely high volume sliding abrasion

Load Cells




Both Static and Compression.

The S or Z type tension load cells are ideally suited for single or multiple load cell tension applications. Simplicity of design permits their use in a wide variety of configurations.

The Self Checking Load Cell is Ideal for new or existing installations - 3 or 4 legged tanks They are easy to install, low-profile design. They are rugged, hermetically-sealed, stainless steel load cells. They have self-centering load buttons to protect against offset side loads.

Manifold

Air Distribution Manifold:
The manifold gives you the ability to shut off individual air lines and more control of air pressure in each line without disconnecting components of the system


Moisture Control System


Both probes and meters by Hydronix and Command Alkon.
The moisture probe is a high quality unit which utilizes microwave technology to provide an accurate reading of the moisture content in aggregates.  These units have the ability to provide instant moisture content data for the batching computer, which can then carry out ‘on the fly’ adjustment to the batch in progress.


Overfill Protection System

Pinch Valve Systems:
The R & S Anti-Overfill System comes with 4" or 5" pinch valve that connects to existing air loader fill pipe and to high level bin indicator. Alarm box, The warning horn and light will alert operator before cutting off the flow of material to the silo. These kits come complete with timer box, strobe light, warning horn, solenoid valve, pinch valve, and weld-on flanges.
